A Dental Lab Assistant performs a range of duties in a dental practice or specialist dental laboratory. You might assist with taking casts and impressions or take measurements and examine patient images. Dental Lab Assistants might create custom made mouthpieces for patients or may perform maintenance or repairs when necessary.

Dental Lab Assistants should have strong technical skills and excellent attention to detail. It’s important you can focus on customer service and adapt your skills to meet the needs of individual clients. Dental Lab Assistants must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. You’ll need to be able to communicate well and follow correct procedures.
