Community Midwife

A Community Midwife provides personalised care to pregnant women and new mothers in their homes or local community settings. You’ll offer support throughout pregnancy, assist with childbirth, and provide postpartum care. Your responsibilities include monitoring the health of both mother and baby, offering advice on breastfeeding and newborn care, and educating families about pregnancy and childbirth.

Community Midwives play a vital role in supporting families during a significant life event. You’ll need to be empathetic, skilled in clinical practice, and able to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure comprehensive care and positive health outcomes for mothers and their babies.
