Caseworker

A Caseworker provides assistance to clients who are experiencing difficulties in their life. You might work with people going through issues such as family difficulties, unemployment, homelessness, mental health issues or drug and alcohol abuse. Caseworkers might assess a client’s needs, talk them through available options and help them access relevant support services.

Caseworkers should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with people from a range of backgrounds. It’s important you are patient and can understand a client’s individual circumstances. Caseworkers must be organised and able to manage several clients at one time.
