TIV’s CPC40320 – Certificate IV in Building Project Support is designed to meet the requirements of estimators and schedulers and or contract administrators in the building and construction industry who may have responsibility for the preparation of estimates from predetermined rates, processing of subcontractor claims and preparation of head and subcontracts for building and construction works.
In this course you will learn to produce cost estimations and schedules for building and construction projects, use estimating computer software programs and develop your job quoting skills.
Please Note: This course supersedes and is equivalent to CPC40308 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating).

This course is for aspiring builders in medium rise residential and commercial construction.
This targeted program is designed for persons who have completed a CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction course and are transitioning up to the Diploma.
This Diploma meets the Victorian Building Authority’s requirements for a prescribed course for registration as Domestic Builder (Unlimited) and Commercial Builder (Unlimited).
It covers the skills and knowledge on which applicants are examined by the Victorian Building Authority for registration for a Residential or Commercial Builder.

Note: Applicants who have already completed the CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction Qualification, may be entitled to credit transfers for up to 11 of the qualification’s 27 units of competence.

Designed to provide a practical alternative to an apprenticeship, the innovative program has been a resounding success since its inception. It is enormously popular among men and women across all ages who aspire to become qualified carpenters and have successful careers in the Building and Construction industry.
The course is run over three consecutive days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) for twelve months by exceptional trainers and highly qualified support staff with a wealth of knowledge and industry experience. You will be required to attend class 7:00am – 3:00pm on those days.
This is followed by 800 hours of workplace based employment. Students begin learning their craft at TIV headquarters in Williamstown before transferring to the state-of-the-art outdoor learning facility in West Footscray.

Site Management is about managing the factors around construction, such as the deployment of crews with specialised skills (including builders), product compliance, deployment of contract specialised skills, weather and site location.

We offer flexible training and support, allowing an apprentice to work, earn and learn at their place of employment.
Apprentices will attend TIV’s trade school for two consecutive days each month for 10 months of each year. This will be conducted by our great trainers who have a wealth of knowledge and a high degree of industry experience. They will also support your ‘on the job’ training progress throughout the Apprenticeship by having regular contacts with you and your employer.
All of our trainers keep up to date by being engaged within the industry. So they know how things work in the real world.
