Course Duration
- 2 online classes per week (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm) options to select either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu
- 4 Compulsory face to face Saturday practical site classes over the duration of the course
- Site class duration is 4 hours
44 weeks to complete the course plus up to 12 weeks of additional student support if required.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Age: 18 years or older.
English Language:
Proof of meeting one of the following:
- Passed VCE English or VCE ESL at year 12 level or equivalent.
- Demonstrated sufficient LLN skills through pre-training review process.
Pre-Training Review:
Evaluation includes assessment of:
- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills.
- Understanding of course structure.
- Computer literacy.
- Motivation for course enrolment.

The Trade Institute of Victoria (TIV), established in 2007, is a leading RTO for building and construction courses in Victoria, with five locations.
TIV offers government-funded programs from Apprenticeship to Diploma levels, including Certificate III in Carpentry, Certificate IV in Building and Construction, and the Diploma of Building and Construction.
