Graduates of BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business will be ready to use their skills and knowledge to provide leadership to their teams and perform complex administrative and operational tasks within the workplace.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team. They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

This nationally recognized qualification will provide graduates with skills and knowledge required to perform effectively as a executive officer, program consultant or program coordinator in an organisation.

Graduates of this course will gain knowledge and awareness of business management practices, an understanding of the dynamics and principles underlying effective organisations, as well as the necessary skills to competently function within small or large business units.

This nationally recognized qualification will provide you practical skills and experience to lead and manage a range of businesses. This course will provides graduates with the skills and knowledge required to perform effectively as a manager, team leader or supervisor managing a workplace.

Graduates of this course will have gained knowledge and awareness of management practices, an understanding of the dynamics and principles underlying effective functioning of work groups, as well as the necessary skills to competently function within small and/or large organisations

The TAE40116 Certificate in Training and Assessment Qualification has been superseded in Dec 22 with the new TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is equivalent.

The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the industry standard qualification for those who deliver and assess training. This qualification reflects the roles of entry-level vocational education and training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors who are delivering training services to vocational learners and assessment services to candidates. The roles may be undertaken by those working in registered training organisations (RTOs), enterprises, community organisations, schools and other VET contexts. This qualification meets the minimum education requirement for trainers and assessors operating without supervision under applicable VET legislation, frameworks and/or standards.

The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the industry-standard qualification for those who deliver and assess training. This qualification will provide participants with the skills, knowledge, and passion to deliver interesting and informative training sessions to groups and individuals, navigate the Australian training system and undertake competency-based assessments against any benchmark or standard.

The qualification has been upgraded from the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. This Training Package was updated in April 2016. There has been a change in the core units to now include TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools and the unit TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Skills. The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) 2015 were updated to include new credential requirements for Trainers and Assessors which include the requirement to hold two new core units.

This unit introduces learners to the core LLN skills as outlined in the Australian Core Skills Framework. The unit covers knowledge required to recognise the LLN demands of the training and workplace environments as well as identifying the core LLN skill level of an individual. This allow individuals to provide a suitable level of support to learners with LLN issues in both delivery and assessment strategies and learning resources. This unit is a mandatory unit for Trainers and Assessors who may hold TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to design and develop assessment tools to guide the collection of quality evidence, including their application in formative, summative and recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment.

It applies to experienced practitioners responsible for the development and/or delivery of training and assessment. It is also a mandatory unit for trainers and assessors who are delivering nationally recognised training.
