HIA has been proudly representing the Australian residential building industry for over seventy-five years. Our vision remains the same, to be an association that speaks with a united voice on industry issues and creating real change, provides quality services at the lowest possible cost and works with the sector to maintain high standards through self-regulated commercial conduct.
Our large membership base gives us political strength and the ability to develop and advocate policy founded on the importance of the residential building industry and benefiting all Australians. The HIA logo is displayed as a sign of professionalism on building sites all around the country. Our members are responsible for over 80 per cent of new homes and renovations in Australia.
Everything we do is in support of our members. We’re with you whenever you need guidance, from delivering up-to-date industry information and explaining regulations and legal requirements through to advocating to governments on your behalf.
