Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Food Handlers and Food Safety Supervisor courses are designed to ensure that anyone who works with food is trained in food safety.
These courses cover the essential knowledge needed for the proper preparation and handling of food across the hospitality and tourism sectors. It emphasises the importance of personal hygiene practices in avoiding the contamination of food, which could lead to food-borne diseases. Participants will learn to adhere to organisational protocols and manage food safety hazards.
The training is relevant to any establishment with kitchen facilities, whether permanent or temporary, as well as those with limited spaces for food preparation or bar areas.
Targeted at individuals seeking employment in various roles, including cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen stewards, kitchen hands, bar and food attendants, room attendants, and front office staff (where it applies), this course is suitable for those aspiring to work in a wide range of settings. These include restaurants and cafes, clubs, hotels, bars, tour operating companies, attractions, event and conference catering, educational establishments, aged care facilities, correctional centers, hospitals, the defense sector, as well as in cafeterias, kiosks, canteens, fast-food outlets, residential catering, in-flight, and other forms of transport catering.

When completing your Forklift Licence Course with Start Training, or any of our other courses, you can be confident that you will be provided with the training necessary to successfully complete your course without having to worry about excess or hidden fees.
At Start Training all your training materials are provided free of charge. Once you have confirmed your spot you will be provided with a range of learning materials to assist you with your course including a student handbook, workbooks and example questions. These materials are provided electronically to students but if you prefer a hard copy please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with one for a small fee.
