Physiotherapy Assistant

A Physiotherapy Assistant helps to deliver physiotherapy programs to clients with various needs. You’ll work with a physiotherapist to follow a therapy program for clients with disabilities, elderly clients or clients who are recovering from illness or injury. Physiotherapy Assistants may address gross motor skills, issues with range of movement or issues such as balance or strength. You might work with clients in their own home or at a physiotherapy clinic.

Physiotherapy Assistants should have strong communication skills and be able to liaise with clients from a range of backgrounds. You’ll need to be good at following instructions and be able to work to correct procedures. Physiotherapy Assistants should be understanding and be able to listen to their clients’ concerns.
