An Event Manager oversees the organisation of a range of events including exhibitions, conferences and community events. You might plan events for your own workplace or be employed by an event planning company. Event Managers organise details such as guest presenters, entertainment, catering and seating. You might arrange sponsorship, advertising and attendance registrations.

Event Managers should have good problem solving skills and be able to manage their time well. You should be organised and be good at multitasking. It’s important you can communicate well and liaise with stakeholders from a range of backgrounds. Event Managers must be able to lead a team of staff and work well in a team.
