Curator

A Curator sets up exhibitions in museums and art galleries. You might arrange for pieces to be part of your displays and coordinate information on each artwork or artefact. Curators might also give guided tours or informative talks about exhibitions. You’ll also catalogue other pieces in a collection that may not be on display.

Curators need to be passionate about artwork or museum pieces and be confident sharing information about displayed items. It’s important that you have good customer service skills and are comfortable speaking with members of the public. Curators should be organised and have strong attention to detail. You’ll need to have good research skills and be knowledgeable about the pieces in your collections.
