Council Maintenance Worker

A Council Maintenance Worker conducts a range of duties on local government facilities. You might work in parks and gardens, on roadside areas or other council amenities. Council Maintenance Workers might trim and prune trees and shrubs, mow grass and keep natural areas tidy. You might collect rubbish, repair equipment and report any major defects.

Council Maintenance Workers should be flexible and able to carry out various tasks as required. You’ll need to enjoy working outdoors and be prepared to work in a range of weather conditions. Council Maintenance Workers must be able to work as part of a team and be able to communicate well. It’s important that you are physically fit and able to carry out manual labour tasks.
