Claims Officer

A Claims Officer processes insurance claims for clients. You might take initial claim details and liaise with the policy holder and any other stakeholders involved. Claims Officers might have to investigate the details of an insurance claim and collect necessary paperwork or evidence. You might advise clients on their insurance coverage and maintain contact with them during the claims process.

Claims Officers should have good personal skills and be able to provide excellent customer service. It’s important that you can communicate well with clients from a range of backgrounds and understand their situation. Claims Officers should be able to deal with the needs of several clients at one time and be able to use a range of software and technologies.
