Ballet Dancer

A Ballet Dancer performs in productions either in an individual role or as part of a larger dance group. You’ll usually be following a choreographed set but you may occasionally be required to come up with your own routine. Ballet Dancers spend a lot of time rehearsing either on their own, with a dance partner or with a full dance ensemble. You will also have to audition for roles in future ballet productions.

Professional Ballet Dancers are highly talented and dedicated to their profession. You’ll have to keep yourself fit and healthy and be ready to take on a range of different roles. Ballet Dancers need to be good at working as part of a larger team and should be willing to work irregular hours.
