Assistant Baker

An Assistant Baker assists with the preparation of bread and pastry items in a bakery, café or restaurant. You’ll work under the guidance of a qualified baker and may perform duties such as preparing ingredients, getting equipment ready or creating basic bakery items. You might also keep kitchen areas clean, check stock supplies and liaise with customers and suppliers.

Assistant Bakers should be good at following instructions and able to prioritise their tasks. You’ll need to be organised and should manage your time well. Assistant Bakers should be able to multitask and must be able work as part of a team. Assistant Bakers often work irregular hours including early mornings and weekends.
