Art Studio Assistant

An Art Studio Assistant works with other artists or designers at a studio or creative space. Your duties will vary depending on the artists you’re working with but you may have to do tasks such as getting materials ready, preparing an art space or assisting with the production process. An Art Studio Assistant may prepare completed artworks for sale or get them ready for exhibition or display. You might also have to do some administrative duties.

Art Studio Assistants need to be flexible and organised. You’ll work with artists, customers and exhibitors so you’ll need to be able to communicate with a range of people. It’s important that you can follow directions and you’ll need a strong understanding of the production processes of the artists you’re working with.
