Arborist

An Arborist cuts and trims the branches of trees or shrubs to remove unsafe or decaying limbs. You may also completely fell trees when required. Arborists assess the health or structure of a tree and work with owners to determine an action plan. You might also treat trees with insecticides to address any issues. Arborists may perform their duties on the ground or with a climbing harness system.

Arborists need to be fit and up to the physical demands of the job. You’ll need to make safety a priority and be able to work as part of a team. Arborists spend most of their time outdoors so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a range of weather conditions. It’s important that you can communicate well with colleagues and clients.
