An Apprentice Butcher prepares meat to sell in a butchery or supermarket. You’ll remove meat from carcasses, cut it to size and add seasonings or marinades. You might take orders from customers and process payments. Apprentice Butchers work alongside a qualified butcher while completing their training.

Apprentice Butchers should have good customer service skills and be able to communicate well with people from a range of backgrounds. It’s important you can follow instructions and work safely at all times. Apprentice Butchers must be able to work as part of a team and manage their time well.
