It applies to people working independently or under limited supervision as members of a security team.
This unit may forms part of the licensing requirements for people engaged in security operations NSW where these are regulated activities.
Security Officers can obtain a permit from the Commissioner of the NSW Police to carry a baton whilst on duty. In order to be granted a permit the Security Officer must provide evidence of the need to carry the baton, as well as evidence of Training to carry and use a baton.
