Our BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Managment qualification is for those who supervise or manage others, and aspiring leaders who will be given opportunities to do these things in the near future.
Diploma level leaders need to be undertaking activities that require them to work unsupervised, work within a team, manage or supervise the work of others and hold them accountable.
Amongst other things, their responsibilities would include developing themselves and others professionally, resolving problems in their team (or escalating issues they can’t resolve), communicating and liaising important information between staff and more senior management, tracking and reporting performance, and providing effective leadership to those that report to them.
In addition, Diploma level leaders are ideally starting to have some input into policies and procedures, although this is not critical to them achieving the qualification.
