The CHC50121- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care provides you with the knowledge and skills required by child care workers across a range of early childhood education settings. Start a rewarding career in the booming child care industry as a qualified Early Childhood Educator.

There is a pre-requisite that you already hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with the codes of CHC30113 or CHC30121 before you can enter this course.

This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators.

The Certificate III in Individual Support provides you with the qualifications and expertise to work in the growing aged care industry. You will learn the necessary skills and knowledge to care for the needs of older and disabled people, support their health and wellbeing and work with their individualised plans.

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

The unit is designed for all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

This unit is designed for all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

This unit is required to be refreshed every 1 year

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

This unit is designed for those workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

This unit is required to be refreshed every 3 years in conjection with the HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation every 1 year.

This unit can be completed as part of the CHCSS00070 Assist Clients with Medication Skill Set.

You will learn the necessary skills and knowledge to care for the needs of people with a disability and to enhance their ability to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance and community participation. You will graduate with the ability to work with or without supervision and have the expertise to supervise or coordinate other workers.
