HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (replace old unit HLTAID003 Provide first aid) is a unit that provides the skills and knowledge for students to perform a first aid response to casualties. This is an essential basic medical training applicable to all kinds of workplaces and workers, to prepare against certain unforeseen medical circumstances.
This unit entails a range of activities such as identifying and assessing a medical emergency, followed by responding calmly and managing the situation. It also teaches students the legal responsibilities of a first aider. Knowledge of first aid increases the sense of safety and wellbeing in students as well as potentially reduces the risk of irresponsible behaviour and common avoidable incidents.
The unit applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate, and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations at community and workplace settings.
Learn moreHLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (replace old unit HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation) provides training for individuals to give Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), a skill that helps maintain blood flow to the brain and heart in an emergency. The theory and practical aspects of this course not only equip people with the knowledge of CPR, but also teach them how to identify if the situation calls for a CPR or not, and the confidence to practise it.
Participant get hands-on and interactive training on all aspects of basic resuscitation as well as the use of defibrillators in the public setting. They are taught the skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child, or infant, following cardiac arrest.
The content of this course is based on Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines and applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Learn moreHLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (replace old unit HLTAID004 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting) is aimed at educating support staff, educators and childcare workers with the skills and knowledge required for providing first aid care to infants, children, and adults.
This unit encompasses catering to several medical situations that need immediate assistance, such as bleeding, burns and fractures. The student will be taught incident reporting in a child-care setting, child physiology, managing medical conditions and responding to medical emergencies. It also covers CPR techniques and the utilisation of Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Upon successful completion, the student will demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge of Childcare First Aid and be aware of their legal responsibilities as a first aider. It will contribute towards approved First Aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011).

This program is suited to those who have traffic controller experience and wish to further their career within the traffic control/management industry.
The course encompasses identifying safety implications of traffic control at road works and personal responsibilities; setting up, monitoring and closing down traffic control devices according to legislative requirements; operating a two-way radio correctly and effectively; and checking, cleaning and storing equipment on completion of work and closing down a TGS/TMP. It additionally covers locating and applying required legislations, documentation, policies and procedures including documentation required for worksite projects and required traffic management.

This course teaches students how to control traffic with a stop-slow bat, portable traffic signals or similar traffic control devices, stopping or slowing traffic as required. It is aimed at creating a safe and more secure road environment, preparing students to perform traffic control skills to their best to avoid accidents and improve the over conditions of traffic.
The unit equips students with the skills required for controlling traffic, directing road users, communicating using various methods and devices, carrying out risk assessments, identifying safety implications of traffic control at road works and personal responsibilities. Upon successful completion, the student will understand Traffic Control Guidance Schemes (TCGs) also known as Traffic Control Plan (TCP) for the site, as well as legislation and Work Health and Safety applicable to them and their work colleagues. They will be able to set up and close traffic control devices according to a nominated TCGS/TCP and check, clean and store equipment on completion of work.

Learn moreSITHGAM022 Providing responsible gambling services (RCG) training is legally mandatory for responsible provision of gambling services and must be undertaken by workers involved in places of gambling activities at licensed premises, including the licensee, gaming supervisors and gaming managers.
The certification applies to operational job roles such as gaming attendant and multi-skilled food and beverage attendant, and equally to frontline operational gambling personnel who operate with a limited level of autonomy and under some supervision and guidance from others.
The unit also relates to satisfying the requirements for providing responsible gambling services under state and territory legislation. Those developing training to support this unit must consult the relevant state and territory gaming licensing authority to determine accreditation arrangements for courses, trainers, and assessors. Under differing state and territory legislations, this is a required certification unit for certain nominated personnel operating in licensed gambling premises.

The course covers all necessary knowledge of site and equipment safety requirements, confined space entry, exit and cleaning procedures, risk, and regulations. Students will acquire knowledge regarding the documentations of confined spaces, such as confined space equipment application and limitations, identifying the range and scope of work covered by permits, checking that the right type of permit has been issued for the type of work, how to prepare for the work and undertake their work in accordance with the provisions of the permit.
Upon successful completion, students have thorough knowledge of the characteristics, hazards, and legislative requirements of working in confined spaces. This course is designed for workers who issue confined space permits, perform a confined space rescue or undertake gas testing.

It covers all essentials for the operation of a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachment, for licensing purposes. It also covers essential topics such as workplace health and safety legislation and operating procedures, hazard identification and risk control measures, and damage and defect reporting.
Participants are taught how they can carry out pre-start operational checks, methods of communication, determining load weight and SWL, shift load, and shutdown and secure forklift truck. It prepares the student with awareness of how to be safe and prepared while operating a forklift truck, creating a secure and reliable environment for industrial work.
