Diploma of Work Health and Safety
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The diploma of work health and safety gives you the grounding in the planning, coordination and maintenance of work health and safety (WHS) programs for businesses.
In many industries well managed work health and safety can be the maker or breaker of success. This course gives you all the skills and knowledge you need to understand the risk in your workplace, plan to mitigate that risk as much as possible and what how to be prepared for if there does happen to be a WHS issue.
You can protect yourself and your business by ensuring you understand all the risks and regulations but more importantly ensuring compliance from your employees and anyone else connected to your workforce.
This training is subsidised by the NSW government.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Applicants are only eligible to enrol into the BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety if they hold the core units of BSB41419 Certificate V in Work Health and Safety or equivalent competencies (i.e. predecessors of these units mapped as equivalent):
- BSBWHS412 Assist with workplace compliance with WHS laws
- BSBWHS413 Contribute to implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes
- BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management
- BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems
- BSBWHS416 Contribute to implementing workplace incident response
