Certificate IV in Mental Health
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate IV in Mental Health aims to give you the skills and knowledge required to work as a professional in community mental health.
It’s suitable for students wishing to gain entry-level positions or those looking to supplement their existing qualifications and build the skills and knowledge to support their existing roles. It is ideal for workers who provide self-directed recovery-oriented support for people affected by mental health and psychiatric disability. This course can also lead to peer support roles where you would need to have a lived experience of mental health issues either personally or through a family member. Successful completion of this course can lead you into a variety of community service roles or higher mental health qualifications.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Minimum age specification of 18 years for entry into course
- Students with mental health issues are advised to be at least 12 months into recovery before undertaking this course.
- You will also need to provide a police check, NDIS worker screening and a working with children check prior to undertaking placement.
