Certificate III in Security Operations
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Security officers at this level provide leadership in a team environment, operate under limited supervision, and use discretion and judgement in known and unpredictable work contexts. They take responsibility for their own outputs in work and learning, and limited responsibility for the output of others in the work team.
This course caters to those who have already completed other entry level studies relevant to the security industry, as well for entry level into specialised streams the security industry which comprises of people and companies mainly engaged in providing security, protection and private enquiry services - other than units of police forces and government security agencies.
CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations is from the Property Services Training Package. It aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to provide intermediate security services including basic risk management and the formulation of security response options.
Participants may include:
- Current workers in the Security industry wishing to add to their career opportunities
- Students who wish to continue study after the CPP20218 to increase their employment opportunities
- Students who wish to add to their entry level qualification and complete either partially (through this course) or fully (through the additional optional units) the required units for the security licence categories of Armed Guard, Cash in Transit, Combined Armed Guard & Cash in Transit, Bodyguard, Guard with Dog
