Certificate III in Information Technology
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Get started in IT with a Certificate III in Information Technology. Students will learn skills in a range of IT disciplines, including basic cloud computing, basic cyber awareness, digital media skills, generalist IT support services, networking, programming, systems, and web development.
Using on-campus facilities and face-to-face learning, students will put their skills in to practice as they learn , so they can graduate with the confidence to provide IT support in a business environment.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
GOTAFE entry requirements
- Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
- Undertake a Pre-training Review by interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
Technical requirements
For students to complete work outside scheduled sessions, and/or to access support online outside of classes, they will require access to a computer and internet - this may be their own personal computer set up or through computers and internet provided in GOTAFE or public libraries.
