Work towards your trade qualification as a sheet metal worker (first class) by completing this apprenticeship qualification. According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, sheet metal trades workers are in high demand with employers finding it hard to fill vacancies. There's likely to be around 5,000 job openings over the next five years with opportunities available in manufacturing, construction, and scientific and technical services.

This course will provide you with the skills to produce, manufacture and repair a wide range of light metal products such as ducts for air conditioning, hospital and catering equipment, office furniture, refrigeration cabinets, tanks, vats and pipes. You will learn how to mark out, shape, form and join sheetmetal and develop skills in brazing and welding procedures including MIG, Stick and oxy cutting. Our industry-expert teachers will ensure you have the industry capability that employers are looking for such as laser cutting.

Successful completion of this qualification will allow you to become a sheet metal worker (first class) and progress your career in manufacturing and engineering.
