Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Sheetmetal working)

This program covers metal fabrication and welding skills that are required for employment within our local and regional industry.

You will gain the skills and knowledge required of an engineering tradesperson within the fabrication trade (Sheetmetal working), e.g., Drawing interpretation, job planning, quality control, communication skills, and computer aided-drafting, advanced welding, and fabrication skills.

The Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheetmetal working) is for apprentices who are employed in the metals and engineering industry.

Sheetmetal (Light Fabrication) working with thinner materials such as stainless steel and mild steel to produce items such as kitchens, ducting, switch boards and other custom designed sheet metal works.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

You must:

- be employed in the metals industry AND
- be an Apprentice or Trainee under the Australian Apprenticeship Scheme (AAS) and be registered with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.
