Certificate II in ESI-Asset Inspection
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate II in ESI - Asset Inspection (UET20619) provides the skills and knowledge to work in the electricity supply industry (ESI) as an Asset Inspector.
This qualification covers safely complying with relevant legislation, industry standards, codes of practice or other related requirements while inspecting and reporting on the status of distribution assets, including poles and structures, cables, overhead conductors, public lighting, security fencing and gates, insulators and transformers. It includes minor maintenance and weed control.
This qualification is ONLY offered by Natwide Personnel through a Recognition of Prior Learning pathway. This course is delivered through our partner Helistar Aviation under a third-party agreement.
To participate in this pathway, you need to be employed as a Trainee Asset Inspector by an enterprise who provides Asset Inspection services to state-based power utilities. These utilities are responsible for maintaining electricity distribution and subtransmission network infrastructure, in accordance with the requirements of state and federal Energy Regulators and other legislative bodies.
