Field Assistant

Field Assistants support conservation officers, parks and wildlife rangers, environmental scientists, and heritage officials with different types of fieldwork. They primarily work out of doors and may often be required to drive long distances or access remote areas by light aircraft.

As a Field Assistant you could be gathering data for a field survey on native animal populations, carrying our repairs and maintenance to an access trail, assisting with bush firefighting efforts, logging collected samples into a database, or just receiving instructions from the Head Ranger.
