Certificate II in Cookery
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in kitchens who use a defined and limited range of food preparation and cookery skills to prepare food and menu items. This qualification provides a pathway to work in kitchen operations in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops; and institutions such as aged care facilities, hospitals, prisons, and schools.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Be enrolled in secondary School (years 10, 11 or 12).
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.
Have not already accessed and exhausted VETiS funding. VETiS funding is only available for one qualification for each student.
Not be enrolled in another qualification (not including foundations skills training).
