Bachelor of Music (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationBuilding on your expertise in performance, composition, ethnomusicology or musicology Music Honours is a prestigious program comprising a fourth year of coursework and research. You will have already completed an undergraduate degree with outstanding results, with a major in the relevant area in Music.
The program will integrate the development of practical skills (for those completing studies in performance or composition) with theoretical knowledge, culminating in advanced research training in your chosen field.
With extended knowledge in your chosen field, together with advanced skills in research, analysis, writing and other forms of communication, Honours will provide you with an advantage in seeking out professional roles.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with minimum overall WAM of 75.
Applicants with an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with an overall WAM between 70 and 75 will be considered upon satisfactory completion of an interview.
Applicants must have completed 48 credit points of studies and obtained a distinction grade average (75%) or above in 24 credit points at level 3 within their chosen Honours area of study.
Applicants may be required to undertake an audition, submit a folio or attend an interview.
