Learn about the financial side of running a business, managing money and how companies create value for their shareholders. Explore the fundamentals of financial environments and modern analytical techniques, learning the ins and outs of business finance, personal financial planning, financial policy, foreign exchange risk, asset selection, stockbroking, investment management, international financial management and financial economics.
Get a bachelor degree in two years from 2024. Study via UniSQ's accelerated pathway option for business (full-time study for six consecutive trimesters) and graduate sooner. Alternatively, you can study full-time over three years or enrol part-time and balance study with work or family commitments. Our flexible delivery allows you to study finance courses online wherever it suits you, or on-campus in Toowoomba or Springfield. Delve further into the financial space by combining your Finance major with our Tax Practitioner and/or Economics minor, or expand your business knowledge with a second 8-uni major from the Bachelor of Business or another approved bachelor degree.

Pre-requisites
To study this degree we assume you have sound knowledge in:
- English (Units 3 & 4, C), and
- General Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)
We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12).
Tafe (VET) qualification
As a TAFE or VET graduate, you can use your Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) awards of certificate III, certificate IV, diploma or advanced diploma to submit an application to study with UniSQ.
We convert your TAFE or VET qualification and results along with your past school results and work experience (if applicable) into a selection rank. It is this selection rank that determines which degrees you may meet the entry requirements for.
Work and life experience
You don't need to have an OP/ATAR or be straight from high school to study at uni. We can convert you work experience, qualifications or high school studies into a selection rank you can use to apply for your chosen degree.
English language requirements
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
Recognition of prior learning or work experience
You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
