Queensland University of Technology

Bachelor of Business (Entrepreneurship and Innovation)

Nationally Recognised Higher Education

Every entrepreneur has a vision, but only a select few are visionaries. Successful visionary entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Paul Polman and Whitney Wolfe Herd all share several key characteristics. They all had a vision, a desire to see their concept come to life and the determination to make it happen. To become a successful entrepreneur, you must think like one, and from your very first day, you will engage with industry experts who will build and cultivate your entrepreneurial mindset.

You will also gain an understanding of modern practices and theoretical knowledge to help you identify and grow entrepreneurial opportunities. As well as learn the necessary capabilities to plan, lead, influence, innovate, and strategise as you engage the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. From there, you will work in a risk-free, innovation incubator environment to design, refine and develop your product or service that will address a real-world need.

Throughout your journey you will connect with well-known entrepreneurs and business leaders who will teach you how to avoid common pitfalls and create winning pitch decks to secure funding. Opportunities to compete for funding will also be available to students throughout this course to assist in development of your product or service. This is a unique major, and no other degree in Australia will take you on an entrepreneurial journey like this. By the end of your studies, you could graduate with an operating and profitable business.
