Nationally Recognised Higher Education

Workplaces of the future need innovative leaders who can see the bigger picture, with the human-focused and transferable skills you’ll gain in a humanities and social sciences degree.

The Monash Bachelor of Arts gives you flexibility and choice to tailor your degree to suit your interests, as well as our Professional Futures program to give you the skills employers seek and value. And with funded overseas study to expand your international networks and cultural agility, and dedicated teams to help you with work placement and peer mentoring, our Monash Arts degree will set you up with the tools you need for career success.

Why study human rights and social justice?
Majoring in human rights and social justice will develop your analytical abilities and communication skills, and empower you to acquire expertise in areas that are of relevance to employers. We explore human rights and social justice practice and activism, which are among the most widely accepted approaches to addressing harms suffered by humans worldwide. You will explore topics such as global poverty, unequal access to medicine, refugees, discrimination, inequality, and the challenges faced by marginalised communities.
