Sport and Recreation Trainee

A Sport and Recreation Trainee assists with the organisation of community activities. You might work for a government department, for a private company or for an organisation that works with a particular group such as young people or people with a disability. Sport and Recreation Trainees plan programs targeting a particular need and coordinate activities on the day of the event. You might set up and pack away equipment or work with participants during the event.

Sport and Recreation Trainees should enjoy physical activity and have strong interpersonal skills. It’s important that you can communicate well and follow instructions. Sport and Recreation Trainees should be organised and able to manage their time well. You should be able to work as part of a team and provide strong customer service.
