Screenwriter

Screenwriters are professional writers who write the scripts for movies, television programs, streaming shows, and video games. They may write their own original stories or adapt existing books, biographies, and novels into screenplays.

As a screenwriter you could be brainstorming themes and ideas for a film, carrying out background research to support character and plot development, preparing a synopsis of your screenplay to pitch to a gaming company, writing a scene, proofreading and editing your work, rewriting a script in collaboration with a film producer, attending a networking event with agents and producers, or just going to the cinema to get some inspiration.
