Radiologist

A Radiologist diagnoses patient injuries or illnesses using medical imaging techniques. You might specialise in a particular type of imaging technique such as mammography or angiography or use a range of x-rays and ultrasounds to examine patient conditions. Radiologists may prepare reports or provide advice to other health practitioners based on their findings.

Radiologists should have excellent attention to detail and be able to work with patients with a range of medical conditions. You’ll need to have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly with patients, families and other medical professionals. You’ll need to follow correct procedures and may work a range of shifts.
