A Portfolio Manager oversees the investments of large organisations or individual clients. You might determine portfolio goals and make investment plans and purchases. Portfolio Managers monitor investment performance and make recommendations for future strategies. You might deal with stocks, bonds, real estate or other investment options.

Portfolio Managers should have a strong knowledge of financial markets and be able to plan for future trends. It’s important you can communicate well and liaise with clients from a range of backgrounds. Portfolio Managers must be able to multitask and manage several portfolios at one time. You should have good analytical skills and be able to manage your time well.
