Jumbo Operator

A Jumbo Operator uses heavy equipment in a range of industries, most commonly in mining. You might operate various equipment including heavy excavators. Jumbo Operators prepare mine sites by breaking up dirt, rock and other materials. You might move materials or level ground as required.

Jumbo Operators should have good technical abilities and a strong focus on safety. You’ll need to be a good communicator and be able to work well in a team environment. Jumbo Operators often work away from home for periods of time and you’ll need to be willing to work a range of shifts in this role.
