Integration Aide

An Integration Aide works with students with disabilities or other developmental issues in a primary or high school setting. You might help students take part in school activities and assist them with their classroom lessons. Integration Aides may also assist students with social and communication skills or with behavioural needs.

Integration Aides should be patient and enjoy working with children and young people. It’s important you can understand individual student needs and be flexible in the way you assist them. Integration Aides must be able to follow correct procedures and be willing to work with students with a range of abilities and needs. You’ll need to be a good communicator and be able to follow instructions.
