Academic Researchers are degree qualified and hold a PhD in their specialist field. This could be Psychology, Engineering, Medicine, Public Health, Sciences, Literature, and more.
To launch your career as an academic researcher, complete an undergraduate Bachelor of Research and choose a study major in your field (eg, Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Physics, Statistics, Environmental Sciences, Medicine and Health).
You’ll also need another Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in your specialist field, as well as a PhD. You’ll also benefit from working as a research assistant and honing your written communication skills.
