Dance Teacher

A Dance Teacher teaches dance techniques and performance skills in a range of dance genres. You’ll work with students at all levels of ability and you might help them learn choreography, perfect difficult moves or get them ready for a performance. You’ll usually work with a class of students but you might also offer individual instruction to some dancers.

Dance Teachers need to be highly skilled performers and be able to motivate their students. It’s important that you are passionate about dance and are able to provide feedback and encouragement as required. Dance Teachers need to be fit so they can demonstrate dance techniques and choreography. You’ll need to be patient and able to work with students who are experienced dancers or who are just beginning to learn to dance.
