Construction Estimator

A Construction Estimator puts together figures to plan for the costs of construction projects. You’ll work with other building industry professionals to work out what’s needed for a large project, factoring in everything from building materials to labour and equipment. You’ll need to understand construction processes and industry regulations but you’ll also have to take into account factors such as weather conditions and other delays which might affect the overall cost of a construction project.

Construction Estimators need to have excellent time management skills. You’ll need to be organised and be able to plan ahead. You’ll be working with many different people on a construction project so you’ll need to be a good communicator and be able to work in a team. Construction Estimators also need to be flexible and it’s important to be good at problem solving.
