About RAM Training Services

The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment was released in December 2022, and now supersedes the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. The TAE40122 is the newest version of the training and assessment qualification. The new qualification has an additional 2 units of competency and changes in the core and elective unit structure, allowing organisations better flexibility in the style of training and assessment qualification they deliver. RAM Training Services has structured the TAE40122 course to be more relatable to those working in the training industry, with an emphasis on the delivery of training sessions and assessing of individuals.

The nationally recognised Cert 4 Training and Assessment qualification reflects the roles of entry-level vocational education and training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors, who are delivering training services to vocational learners, and assessment services to candidates. It is designed for those that have relevant industry skills and knowledge, and are looking to actively work in the vocational education sector, or to be a trainer and assessor in their workplace, teaching accredited or non-accredited training. Successful completion of the TAE40122 Cert IV Training and Assessment course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to be able to effectively train and assess students in adult education (in the VET sector) in Australia.

It is RAM’s priority to ensure that our students get the support they need in order to get the most out of their studies, and to successfully achieve their upskilling goals. As part of this, we include a few added services, the majority of which are free of charge to our TAE students.

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419), is the current workplace health and safety qualification. The Certificate IV in WHS, teaches participants the skills and knowledge required to work within an organisation, as a WHS supervisor, WHS personnel, Safety Advisor, WorkCover Assessor and WHS Coordinator. The qualification is suitable for individuals working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role, who work to provide a broad range of technical knowledge and skills, and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

The Nationally Accredited Provide 1st Aid course (HLTAID011 – the most current First Aid course) teaches participants the necessary skills to administer first aid care that may be required in emergency situations, as well as the tools needed to help treat serious injuries and other ailments.

Upon successfully completing the nationally recognised training course, your certification remains valid for 3 years, at which time you may choose to have it renewed if necessary. The CPR module (HLTAID009) incorporated within the Provide First Aid course is valid for 12 months and must be renewed annually.

The Nationally Accredited Perform CPR course (HLTAID009 Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation – previously HLTAID001) teaches participants the necessary skills to carry out CPR on a casualty who has stopped breathing.

Upon successfully completing the nationally recognised training course, your certification remains valid for 12 months, at which time you may choose to have it renewed if necessary.

RAM offers the TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set, as a course designed to provide VET practitioners with the assessor competencies to meet the requirements for RTOs. This course is suited for those looking to work as an assessor within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), TAFEs and private training organisations.

The CSC40122 Certificate IV in Correctional Practice is an important qualification that reflects the role of individuals employed in the supervision and management of offenders and detainees, in the correctional services sector. It is a qualification that assists with career advancement, personal and professional development, and a more comprehensive understanding of correctional roles.

The general qualification covers the competencies allowing experienced staff to reflect advanced practice and greater team leadership roles.

RAM Training Services offers this qualification through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, whereby your existing skills and experience are recognised and mapped to the requirements of the training package, to achieve your certificate – rather than through the completion of assessments or exams. This process may look different for each individual applicant.

The TAESS00021 - Facilitation Skill Set was developed for persons wishing to deliver nationally recognised training in TAFE’s, Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s), and private training companies.

While people in these roles are not formal trainers and assessors, they are still able to train under the supervision of a TAE-qualified trainer.

The TAESS00028 - Work Skill Instructor Skill Set course is designed for those wishing to deliver nationally recognised units of competency, or non-accredited training, within a workplace. While people in these roles are not formal trainers and assessors, they are still able to train under the supervision of a TAE-qualified trainer, usually for small groups and individuals.

This is a relevant training course for individuals who regularly are requested to witness documents in their job. When you successfully complete this course in community justice through our registered training organisation you will be able to assume this voluntary role for community justice.

The 10793NAT Community Justice Services (Commissioner for Declarations) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to assist them in their community volunteering responsibilities of witnessing and certifying documents. This 1-day course (plus pre and post course work), enables eligible applicants to apply to become a Commissioner for Declarations – the Department of Justice and Attorney-General will charge an additional fee for your registration.

The 10794NAT Justice of the Peace course Queensland Course in Providing Community Justice Services (Justice of the Peace [Qualified]) provides participants with the knowledge and skills to assist them in their community volunteering responsibilities of witnessing documents and minor judicial duties. This 2-day course (plus pre and post course work), enables eligible applicants to apply to become a Queensland Justice of the Peace (Qualified) – the Department of Justice and Attorney-General will charge an additional fee for your registration.

Upon successful completion of the JP course you will have all of the responsibilities of Commissioners for Declarations, as well as several judicial duties, both ‘non-bench’ and ‘minor bench’. Enrol through RAM to get the best relevant training course for JP services.
