This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. Specific licensing/regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Learn moreThis unit of competency covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work. The unit relates directly to the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) required to enter a construction work site. Completion of unit CPCWHS1001 covers this requirement.
The white card is a requirement for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry. Once the course has been completed and you are deemed competent you will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and issued your Construction ‘White Card’.
Please Note: It is expected that site-specific induction training will be conducted prior to conducting construction work.

This course provides the skills and knowledge required for individuals responsible for developing traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes to perform a preliminary risk assessment of a temporary traffic management site and select, modify and design traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes.
This course does not qualify a participant to control traffic with a stop/slow bat, or boom gate, or set up work with traffic control plans.
This program is suited to experienced traffic control/management operators.
