Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This unit is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to perform first aid for infants and children. It includes additional training in asthma and anaphylaxis management specific to the childcare industry and other child-focused organizations, as well as parents and carers of young children.
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) procedures are based on ARC (Australian Resuscitation Council) guidelines. This unit is required for workers and volunteers in education and care settings, including preschools, childcare centers, schools, OOSH centers, and other child-focused organizations such as youth groups and social activities.
