The HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting is a nationally recognised short course for teachers and child care workers who need skills in CPR and first aid. This course follows the guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). The course covers: recognising and assessing emergency situations including asthma and anaphylactic reactions, ensuring the safety patients and bystanders (as well as yourself), performing CPR and essential first aid, liaising with emergency services, reporting incident details to parents and caregivers, completing written incident reports.
