You'll gain an excellent foundation in business with a strong accounting focus and learn accounting principles, their applications and other relevant knowledge in economics, finance, information systems and law. Recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) with a credit average as determined by the UNSW Postgraduate Coursework Entry Score Calculator. Note: This degree is designed for graduates with no or limited accounting studies. If you have studied a Bachelor of Accounting or completed an Accounting major, you are not advised to apply and enrol into this degree.
English language requirements
You may be asked to provide evidence of your English proficiency to study at UNSW depending on whether you are from an English-speaking background or non-English speaking background. English language skills are vitally important for coping with lectures, tutorials, assignments and examinations - this is why UNSW requires a minimum English language competency for enrolment.
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – Academic version, IELTS Indicator and IELTS UKVI only: 7.0 overall (min 6.0 in each subtest)
- TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language – Internet-Based Test) - including TOEFL iBT Home Edition: 94 overall (min. 25 in writing, 23 in reading, listening and speaking)
- PTE (Pearson Test of English – Academic): 65 overall (min. 54 in each subtest)
- C1 Advanced Cambridge (formerly known as CAE – Cambridge Advanced English: 185 overall (min. 169 in each subtest)
- C2 Proficiency Cambridge (formerly known CPE – Cambridge Proficiency English: 185 overall (min. 180 in each subtest)
