Nationally Recognised Higher EducationFinance – the study of financial institutions, markets and instruments, and their effect on the flow of funds within the economy – is a fast-paced and challenging field. Those with expertise in the field are often involved in an organisation’s top-level planning processes, as the financial advice they provide allows management to determine how best to meet profit goals, and company objectives to ensure growth.
In the comprehensive, flexible and highly practical Master of Finance, you’ll learn how to apply your superior technical skills to examine, interpret and appraise financial information and market conditions. You’ll study recent developments in banking and finance, with a particular focus on ethical, social, regulatory, economic, sustainability and global perspectives. And you’ll conduct independent research and exercise professional judgement in solving complex banking and financial problems.

AQF levels
- AQF level 8 bachelor honours or graduate diploma qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or
- Meet two of the following three criteria:
- AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent
- Two years (full-time equivalent) work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning
- AQF level 7 bachelor’s qualification or recognised equivalent with a WAM of 65 or higher, or a minimum WAM of 60 together with a GMAT score of 600 or higher
English language requirements
The required standard of English for this degree is:
- IELTS: Overall band score 6.5
You may also satisfy the English language requirements by:
- passing an approved English language test at the required level
- holding a qualification from an approved country with English as the language of instruction
- completing an approved high school qualification or foundation program with study in English
- completing an approved English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program.
